Mithril Capital recently sold $48 million in Palantir shares.

The fund was co-founded by legendary investor Peter Thiel.
The selling of large positions typically acts as a deprecating factor, as it is an indication of bearishness from the party pulling the trigger…
The stock price for PLTR certainly reflects this over the past two days…

It can be very tempting to overreact to news like this, especially given the accolades that a guy like Peter Thiel has.
I prefer to view it with a little bit of perspective though.
For one thing, Peter Thiel is actually one of the co-founders of Palantir…

It’s unlikely that his capital fund is selling shares of Palantir because they no longer believe in the company long term.
Cycling in and out of positions and profit taking is part of the game…
This is likely a case of capital rotation into areas with higher perceived short-term returns.
When it comes to potential returns, Palantir is more of a long-term play in my opinion.
The real magic for the stock will likely lie in the next decade or so…
That’s all for now.
Until Next Time,
